Such a critical component of the burger is the bun, yet my frustration continues with my second attempt at baking them. This week I tried a Martha Stewart recipe posted on the blog at Serious Eats. Still not convinced, the buns were still a bit too heavy. May try this recipe again, as I realised after baking that I missed one of the ingredients.I also have my heart on a brioche type roll as well, but this requires the dough to sit overnight in the fridge...sort of gets in the road of my spontaneous hamburger consumption which originally lead to this whole process. Onwards and upwards, everything must be considered in its due course!
