[fodder] benchmark burger

Within a small Manhattan park lies a little shack. This shack is the home of the best burger I have ever eaten. The park is Madison Square Park*, the shack is the Shake Shack, the burger is the Shack Burger (pictured).

This is the 'Benchmark Burger.'

I only visited this institution twice. The first time with my good friend and foodie, Richard Elliot. The second time (pictured) was just before I left the States. The Shack Burger changed my life and is the inspiration behind the Burger Project**.

Notes:
(*) Madison Square Park is not to be confused with Madison Square Garden. The Garden, where the Knicks and Rangers play, is situated above Penn Station. Madison Square Park is near the Flatiron Building, where Broadway meets 5th Ave.
(**) A 'hamburger', which the Burger Project is based on, relates ONLY to the beef pattie variety. In the States, what we call a chicken or fish burger is actually referred to as a sandwich. Only a burger made of beef is called a hamburger. This assumption holds for the Burger Project.

How do they make their burgers so tender? Going to be a hard act to follow for the burger project!
